WaiMing's Visit To San Francisco

19 June 2005

WaiMing and Janice were in the San Francisco Bay Area accompanying their son to kick-off his 8-week summer
program at Stanford University. It was a surprise visit for KellyC when he picked up WaiMing's phone call
on that Sunday morning.

WaiMing and Janice showed up at KellyC's door step within an hour after the telephone call. They enjoyed
the conversation over a "last-minute" light lunch, catching up with things and family matters since their
previous gathering in Portland, OR (Christmas 2004).  Due to KellyC's prior afternoon appointment, their
mid-day gathering ended before 2pm as KellyC was late to his appointment in the city. The Li's showed
up at KellyC's place again in the evening to continue where they left off several hours earlier over
dinner. Too bad their son could not join as he was not allowed to leave the Stanford campus without
written consent from the school, per program rules and restrictions.

It was until almost mid-night before the Li's waved goodbye, and promised they would communicate
prior to leaving Southern California on their August trip to the SF Bay Area.
