Kelly Chang's visit to Li Wai Ming
24 October 2004
As soon as Kelly Chang learned from Simon Cheng that he met with Li Wai
Ming briefly in Los Angeles, he could not
wait to meet Li Wai-Ming in the Los Angeles area. Comtinued with his
quest for meeting "long lost" classmates, that
watching the New England Patriots's setting the 21 game winning streak
(an NFL record) or following the Boston
Red Sox in Game2 of the World Series (a 86 year's dream come true) can
take a back seat.
After a phone call on that Sunday morning, they picked the
Regent's Cafe in Monterey Park, CA (about 10 miles east of downtown Los
Angeles) to meet for lunch. Thanks to this web site,
both had seen each other's picture prior to meeting face to face after
more than 30 years.
Over the 2 hr+ conversation over lunch and drinks, Kelly and Wai-Ming
covered everything from their Wah Yan F1A days to
current family life details. Wai-Ming said sees Dennis Chan
Yiu Kuen quite often, as Dennis's clinic is located in Monterey Park.
If any of you are in the Los Angeles for business or pleasure, please
look up Wai-Ming and/or Dennis. While both wished there were
more time to chit-chat, the meering concluded around 3:30pm as Kelly
had a 7+ hours ahead of him driving back to San Francisco.
