Early morning walk along the old Quebec City wall up Rue des Remparts

Real windows and walls?

Breakfast at a cafe

Choice of breakfast combo: plain + chocolate croissants or
half (read foot long) baguette

All thought that's no way we could finish one half. At the end, nothing left on table

Laval University

Morning walk along the old city wall (foreground) continues after breakfast

A brief history of the Legislature of
(then) Province of Canada

Checked out of hotel and heading out of
Quebec City

Wave goodbye to this pretty nice apartment style hotel

A short drive to near by Ile-d'Orleans, passing by a small town of Beauport

View of the bridge leading to Ile-d'Orleans

Crossing the bridge

Visit to a local chocolate factory in Ste-Petronille

Police escorting a bicycle rally, about two hundred or so bikers just passed in front
of the chocolate factory

Enjoyed some tasty chocolate on this
beautiful and sunny morning

A church built in 1806

A short stroll along a marina broad walk, where Leonard shared some of his stock trading secret

View of the St. Lawrence River from the marina

A stop for the bikers

Long lines in front of the two toilets. A few male bikers were spotted "relieving"
at the nearby bushes

Lunch time!

Enjoyed a delicious lunch in a restaurant that was not 100% complete in construction.

Instead of following the snail paced bicycle rally, the gang stopped and walked along the river bank enjoying the beautiful scenery

Crossing the St. Lawrence River again back to the north shore

Visit to the "tallest water fall in Canada"

Had so much food the past two days, time to walk off those calories

The course: hike up the flight of stairs by the side of water fall, pass a park and a bridge, to reach the destination: cross bridge above the water fall

A good cardiovascular exercise ahead. Remember, 400 British soldiers died  fighting with the French about 200 years ago while attempting to capture the hill!

View of the fall at the No.1 Lookout Terrace

View of the bridge and the parking lot below from the No2. Lookout Terrace

Leonard (light color jacket) and Salinda (white capri pants) had just started their hike up the stairs

Cross the Fault Bridge connecting the two gorges. Leonard and Christiane arm-in-arm in the foreground

After some real hard work, we reached our destination: the Falls Suspension Bridge above the water fall

View of the Ile-d'Orleans Bridge  from above the water all

The raging water of Montmorency River rushes below our feet ...

... and down the vertical drop into the cannon below

We could pay CND7.50 each riding the cable car, but the walk was more healthy to our bodies

Dinner at a Greek restaurant in eastern part of Laval, owned by Leonard's neighbor Jimmy

Another large meal for everyone. Who
cares, everyone is on vacation :-)
